Fitzgeralds Las Vegas Fremont Experience: "Summer of 69: Vegas or Bust"
Fitzgeralds hotel casino Las Vegas is downtown on Fremont Street within its four block pedestrian-only stretch under a vaulted ceiling that includes two million light bulbs. The Fremont Street Experience has sound and light shows, live music, occasional classic car displays and holiday festivals. This year they are taking us back to the “Summer of 69: Vegas of Bust” festival and concert series that began on Memorial Day weekend and runs through Labor Day. Not only are there local bands but also special guest appearances from The Guess Who, Blood Sweat & Tears, Three Dog Night, Jefferson Starship and The 5th Dimension to name a few.
Fitzgeralds Promotion for Labor Day Weekend:
Labor Day Weekend – Saturday and Sunday, September 5-6
Performing on Fremont Street: Canned Heat and Three Dog Night
Labor Day has been celebrated on the first Monday in September in the United States since the 1880’s. The form for the celebration of Labor Day was outlined in the first proposal of the holiday – a street parade to exhibit to the public “the strength and esprit de corps of the trade and labor organizations,” followed by a festival for the workers and their families including picnics, barbecues, firework displays, water sports, and public art events. Families with school-age children take it as the last chance to travel to Las Vegas before end of summer.
So go to Fitgeralds in Las Vegas and enjoy some groovy music, entertainment and lots of fun!
